The 15 most photogenic spots in Paris – Paris, France

Are you planning a trip to Paris and looking for the best places to take beautiful holiday pictures? Paris is a beautiful city and there are many beautiful picture spots, you just need to know where to find them! In this post, I will show you some really photogenic spots in Paris. Your holiday photobook and/or your instagram feed will look super enviable after taking pictures in these places!

The Eiffeltower
If you go to Paris and you didn’t take a picture with the Eiffeltower, did you really go to Paris? The best place to take a picture is from the Trocadéro. Don’t forget to see the Eiffeltower illuminated either. Be sure to watch the tower when it starts sparkling, which is on the hour for five minutes. It’ll be hard to take a good picture of this light show, but it looks amazing!

Musée d’Orsay
This museum has a see-through clock on the top floor, from where you have a great view over Paris. So if you’re visiting Musée d’Orsay, don’t skip this beautiful clock. The central hall of the museum looks pretty great too, because the building used to be a train station.

The Louvre pyramid
The contrast between the Louvre building and the glass pyramid looks really interesting and is great to photograph. This place also looks great at night, when the pyramid is illuminated and the lights reflect in the pool around it.

Inside the Louvre
The Louvre has some beautiful ceilings and you are also allowed to take pictures (without flash) of the artworks. You’re probably going to take a selfie with the Mona Lisa, since it’s the most famous painting there, but it probably won’t be an amazing picture, since you need to keep a lot of distance and it’s a really small painting.

Le mur de je t’aime
Literally translated, this means the I love you wall. On this blue wall, the phrase ‘I love you’ is written in 250 different languages. It’s especially a must-see for couples on a romantic trip in the city of love. You can find it at the Square des Abbesses in Montmartre.

Arc de Triomphe
I saw the Arc de Triomphe around sunset and the pictures turned out beautiful! Be careful though when taking your picture, keep watching the traffic and never cross the road to the Arc the Triomphe! There are tunnnels that go under the road that you can take.

Rue Crémineux
This is a great colorful street where you can take pretty pictures and it isn’t even crowded with tourists. These are just houses where people live though, so be respectful and don’t take pictures if they hung up a ‘no pictures’ sign.

Sacre Coeur
This beautiful church in the centre of Montmartre has some really interesting architecture. The inside of the church is also beautiful and you have an amazing view over Paris from this point.

Musée du Quai Branly
Have you ever seen a vertical garden? Very close to the Eiffeltower lies the Musée du Quai Branly, where you can see a beautiful garden with all kinds of different plants on a wall!

The Seine
There are many beautiful bridges over the Seine, like the pont des arts and the pont Alexandre III. A good idea is to watch the sunset over the Seine. I did so with some amazing people from my hostel (one of those was Brooke, you can find her blog here!) and it was my favourite night in Paris!

The Notre Dame
The most beautiful Notre Dame pictures I took were taken from the Petit Pont and from the Square Jean XXIII. The inside is also beautiful, but taking pictures wasn’t allowed.

Rue de l’Ourq
If you like street art, then this is a great place to walk around. There’s a long wall in the Rue de l’Ourq where you can find many different colorful street art pieces.

The Sainte-Chapelle
The inside of this small chapel will take your breath away. Instead of walls, there are glass-stained windows everywhere that tell the stories of the Bible. It was meant to look like you were entering heaven when you came into this church.

Parc de Buttes-Chaumont
This is a great place to relax for a while and to lie down in the grass. They made a few hills and even a cave and a waterfall to make you feel like you entered a different world. The central hill with the temple on top of it is really photogenic.

Centre Pompidou
The fountain next to the museum has some fun colorful statues in it and behind the fountain, there’s a huge street art piece of Salvador Dalí!
